Jason Ray Kirk

Jason Ray Kirk, 51, was born May 26, 1974, and passed May 16, 2026. He graduated from Tarrant High School, class of 1993. Served in the United States Marine Corps with honorable discharge in 1997. He then joined the police force, serving for 13 years in Tarrant, Bessemer, and Vestavia. Afterwards, Jason went on to have many careers and fulfill many dreams. In this life, he leaves behind his wife, Jewel Leigh Kirk; his children, Kyndell Tucker (Brady Tucker), Taylor Kirk Ross (Jesse Ross), Kaden Abbott (Maci Abbott), Katie Ann Abbott, Hannah Kirk; his grandchildren, Brayleigh and Kynnady Tucker, Beckham and Bennett Ross, Evelynn Abbott, and more to follow; his niece, Kynzlie Kirk; his father, Billy Ray Kirk; his uncle, Roger Dalton Kirk; and a multitude of close family and friends. There are not enough words to describe how much Jason meant to all of us. Jason was a God-fearing man, a dedicated, steadfast husband, the best dad, and an amazing pappy – a best buddy, best friend, hype man, confidant, protector, overcomer, and mentor. Known as a jack of all trades, master of most, an expert beard grower, and honey-doer. He had found his purpose and was at ultimate peace, through Christ, in all aspects of his life; his delight was in the law of the Lord. His transition was miraculous and inspiring to watch as he became our present-day superman. Funeral Service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026, at Blountsville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Friday. Psalms 1: 1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 But his delight is in the law[b] of the LORD, and on his law, he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. 4 The wicked are not so but are like chaff that the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
